In order to protect both customer and manufacturer, we've established a set of rules and conditions for shipping arrangements.  By purchasing from Bathroom Factory Direct, you agree to these terms.

Bathroom Factory Direct and our suppliers take every effort to ensure your product arrives safe and sound. These terms, however, are meant to protect you and ensure all ends well when the unexpected happens. These terms will help you understand:

  • What to do the day your package arrives
  • What to do within the first two days of your package arrival
  • What do to if a product is determined to be defective or damaged

Shipping Terms and Conditions

Unlike many online e-commerce purchases you have likely made in your lifetime, most products on Bathroom Factory Direct use freight shipping carriers rather than standard parcel services. This helps ensure larger, heavier products arrive safer and more affordably.

HOWEVER, BECAUSE FREIGHT SHIPPING INVOLVES LARGE ITEMS, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A CUSTOMER IN ORDER TO AVOID COSTLY RETURN AND RESTOCKING FEES. IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU FOLLOW THE BELOW RULES TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE FINANCIAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH FREIGHT RETURNS.

RULE #1: ON THE DAY YOUR PACKAGE ARRIVES, A PERSON MUST BE PRESENT TO INSPECT THE PACKAGE FOR DAMAGE. Upon delivery, take a detailed look at the package for any signs of damage to the outer shipping container. If there is ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE, REFUSE THE MERCHANDISE. Our supplier is required to provide the shipping company with undamaged goods, and the shipping company is required to deliver those goods undamaged to the customer. Evidence of damage is therefore the fault of the shipping company. IF YOU ACCEPT THE PACKAGE WITH DAMAGE, YOU ARE ACCEPTING LIABILITY FOR THE CONDITION OF THE CONTENTS. Because of this, in the event of damaged packaging we strongly recommend noting the damage on the slip and refusing the delivery.

RULE #2: YOU MUST OPEN AND INSPECT THE CONTENTS OF YOUR DELIVERY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ANY DAMAGES OR DEFECTS TO THE PRODUCT MUST BE REPORTED TO BATHROOM FACTORY DIRECT WITHIN 48 HOURS. This helps ensure we can meet the deadlines of our various suppliers, and assist you in repairing or replacing damaged or defective parts or products when the fault of the supplier. RULE #3: ANY RETURNS REQUIRED FOR REASONS OTHER THAN REFUSAL OF DELIVERY OR NOTIFICATION OF DEFECT OR DAMAGE WITHIN 48 HOURS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. This means, if you require a return for any reason not covered in Rule #1 or Rule #2, you will be financially liable for all return shipping costs and associated fees, and may be charged a restocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price, dependent on the supplier.

RULE #4: IF A RETURN IS REQUIRED FOR ANY REASON, THE PRODUCT MUST BE REPACKAGED IN ORIGINAL FORM WITH ALL ORIGINAL PACKAGING MATERIALS. Failure to do so can result in shipping costs, restocking fees and/or the rejection and return of your shipment.

These rules are designed to protect you, our valued customer, from unexpected financial costs. Although Bathroom Factory Direct and our suppliers go to great lengths to ensure we deliver a quality product, it is important that our customers follow these rules to avoid a problem in the rare event of goods arriving damaged.
